How to Use Safari’s Reader View for an Ad-Free Reading Experience

Example: macOS Ventura & later

Steps:

1. Open Safari:

Launch Safari on your Mac.

2. Find an Article You Love:

Head to the article you want to dive into. (Remember, Reader Mode work best on article-style pages, not product pages or homepages).

3. Activate Reader Mode:

Look for the Reader icon (a little book) in the top-left corner of the address bar.

Click the icon to switch to Reader Mode—watch as all distractions fade away!

4. Customize Your Perfect Reading Experience:

i. Resize the Text:

Tap the AA icon to adjust the font size. Bigger text for comfort? Smaller for a cleaner look? You choose.

ii. Switch Up the Background:

If you’re reading for long periods, change the background color to something easier on your eyes—night mode, anyone.

iii. Choose Your Front Style:

Want a different vibe? Pick a font that suits your style from the available options.

5. Exit Reader Mode:

Finished reading? Simply click the Reader icon again to return to the normal webpage.
