How to Free Up Storage Space on Your Mac

 

·     Example: macOS

·     Steps:

 

1.  Remove Disk Image and Zip Files:

·     Old .dmg and .zip file can take up a lot of space.

·     Open Finder.

·     In the top-right search bar, type: dmg or zip.

·     Click This Mac to search your whole system.

·     Right-click anywhere in the search results.

·     Select Short By > Size to find the biggest files.

 

     

 

·     Review the list, delete what you dont need.

·     Empty the Trash to free the space.

 

2.  Clear Out Caches:

·     Too many cache files can slow down your system.

·     Open Finder.

·     In the top menu, Click Go > Go to Folder.

      

           

 

·     Type: ~/Library/Caches/ and click Go.

 

        

 

·     Browse folders and delete cache files from apps you rarely use.

·     Move file to Trash and empty it.
