OS X Mavericks v10.9.1: Repeated prompts to unlock "Local Items" keychain

Issue:

If after logging in, you are repeatedly prompted to unlock the "Local Items" keychain in multiple apps. This might be caused by migrating a user's home folder or changed your password using method other than system preferences.

Workaround:

You can just enter your previous password after you log in. This is something you need to do every time you login.

Solution:

1. In Finder Select Go > Go to folder… (⇧⌘G)

2. Type "~/Library/Keychains/"

3. Click OK.

4. Look for a folder with a name similar to this "A8F5E7B8-CEC1-4479-A7DF-F23CB076C8B8"

5. move this folder to the Trash. Remember your folder will be named uniquely.

6. Reboot the computer.
