How To Set Static
IP On Windows
Example : Windows
Steps:
1. Open the run box:
·
Press Windows Key + R on your
keyboard to open the Run box.
·
Type
ncpa.cpl into the Run box and press Enter.
This command opens the Network
Connections window.
3. Select Your Network Connection
·
In
the Network Connections window, locate the network adapter you want to
configure. This could be Ethernet
(for wired connections) or Wi-Fi (for wireless connections).
·
Right-click on the selected
adapter and choose Properties.
4. Open IPv4 Properties
·
In
the Properties window, scroll down and find Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4).
·
Select it and click on Properties.
5. Set the Static IP Address
·
In the Internet
Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) Properties window, select Use
the following IP address.
· Enter your IP address, Subnet
mask, and Default gateway:
· IP address: Choose an IP address
that’s within your network’s range and not already in use.
· Subnet mask: Typically 255.255.255.0 for most home networks.
· Default gateway: This is usually
your router’s IP address (e.g., 192.168.1.1).
· Under Use the following DNS server addresses,
enter your preferred DNS servers:
6. Save Your Settings

Click Ok
to apply the changes.
